He still doesn't know entirely what she can feel and what she can't, but on the off-chance she can, that's a sign for her - it's good to see you, it really is.]

My room should be the sitting room, as I don't sleep. Everyone can come in and out whenever they like.

[Last time he saw her, she was teary-eyed and furious, refusing even to look with him as he marched off to death - his own, or Herrick's. Bloody hell, she can be vicious when she wants to be, and he'd felt like scum, the worst of the earth, no matter that he'd made her think that of him deliberately. But when she's warm, and happy, she really is just like sunshine made human. He can't help but smile a bit.]

[But that's what Mitchell had gone on about, isn't it - all the guardian angel stuff. But he'd left out that part.]
